Decided to post a short video of one of my beach adventures! Once again the water was too cold for the humans but that didn’t stop me! And yes, I am well aware that my legs do in fact look like sticks..
Mommy got a betta fish for her birthday! He’s feisty that’s for sure.
Though, I do have a small confession.. It actually took me a few days to notice him! Mommy, thought I was going crazy when I “randomly” started barking at the table. It was only later that the silly human figured out that I was trying to warn her about the new stranger in the house!
She then lifted me up and let me take a good look at him. After inspecting him carefully, I’ve decided he can stay.
I know I don’t normally do lengthy posts but as 2013 is coming to a close I’ve been doing a lot of reflection on my year with Riley. It’s amazing how far he’s come from that scared little puppy to the (more or less) confident dog he is today. Of course, he’s not perfect and still gets into mischief every now and then but I still feel like the luckiest person in the world. In lieu of this I’ve decided to create a reflection post of this past year, both the good and the bad.
And there you have it, my summary of 2013. So far, I’m feeling very optimistic heading into the new year. Best of luck to all of you too in 2014!
Also, please feel free to share any of your reflections as well!
Here’s a short video of my attempt at The Muffin Tin Game. For any fur pals/parents that haven’t heard of this game I’ll provide a short description, though I think the video is pretty self-explanatory.
Anyway, all you need is a muffin tin, balls(around tennis ball size) and treats! Basically, have your human place treats inside the muffin tin and cover them with tennis balls.
Not only does this provide mental stimulation but it can also help with nose-work! For an extra challenge some tennis balls can be left with nothing under them.
This was my first attempt and, as you can tell, it took me quite a while to get to those treats! It took me over 5 mins to get the second ball out. I must admit, I’m not the most determined/persistent pup out there and I soon found more interest in playing with the stray tennis balls than the tin. Mommy said next time she’ll place some high-reward treats instead of food to capture my attention. Sounds good to me!
Decided to go on an adventure to a new place today! The weather was great- the sun was out and not a single cloud to be seen! But there were things in the sky. We saw some unfamiliar birds that looked like a vulture/hawk cross! Mommy googled it and she thinks it may have been a turkey vulture!
Here’s the picture mommy took:
And here’s what a Turkey Vulture looks like:
Kinda scary looking, eh?
Anyone superstitious? I can’t say that I’ve experienced any bad luck on Friday the 13th per se but I have noticed that most of my bad luck happens on rainy days. Coincidence? Self-fulfilling prophecy? Something else?
