Jumping for joy!

Sorry for the lack of posts! I’ve been super busy lately (much to the dismay of Riley..)

Here’s a photo I meant to post a while back. The one thing I love about Riley is his enthusiasm. He may be a lazy bum at times, but when he does choose to do things he does it with reckless abandon.

Happy Halloween!

There are nights when the wolves are silent
and only the moon howls.

Third Eyelid

Did you know that dogs have a third eyelid? Well mommy didn’t. ¬†In fact, she even freaked out and went to the vet because I had this “white thing” on my right eye. Silly human thought I was going blind! The vet explained to her that it was normal and I just have two different coloured inner eyelids. Pretty neat huh?

Mommy says: Oh, and if anyone is like me and couldn’t figure out where the “second eyelid” is, here’s the breakdown. The top eyelid counts as one lid and the bottom counts as another, so those are the “first and second eye lids”. That leaves the “third eyelid” (or nictitating membrane) which is the inner eyelid that adds extra protection and works similar to windshield wipers.

Park and Rabbits!

Went to a new park today. It took nearly an hour for mommy and I to even get there! I walked past a busy street and was only a little scared when one of those huge buses sped by! Anyway, here I am taking a rest at the the top of the hill. Can you tell how happy I am?

There were also some smelly flowers there..

Oh, and of course! I saw a rabbit! I wasn’t allowed to chase it though.. I’ll get em next time!

Riley the “Fashionister”

Yeah.. It’s not working..

Middle ground?

In my world, it’s either play or sleep- no in between. ¬†However, sometimes I try to do both at the same time.

My First Fan Art!

Courtesy of a awesome little boy. He’s got some real talent and great attention to detail even getting my leash and rarely visible collar colours right! Mommy and I were very impressed!

The little things..

I go on walks and hikes fairly often. Sometimes it’s nice to take a closer look at the little things to truly appreciate the beauty of nature.

Shimmy Shake!

One of the downsides to having such a long coat is how heavy it gets in the water. Gotta bust out my dance moves and give a lil shimmy shake to shed some of that weight!
